At the beginning of the Covid pandemic the group’s managing director Wayne Topley was looking to find new solutions to protect customers and staff against the virus, as well as improve their cleaning regime, which encompasses over 500 bedrooms, all while reducing their environmental impact. Wayne approached Spectrum Cleaning Solutions to find out what could be done.

It was at this point that Spectrum’s managing director, Jo Thompson, introduced Cedar to the sustainable range of Toucan Eco products, which produce an effective disinfectant cleaner from tap water, normal salt and electrochemical activation.

Topley explained the decision behind bringing the eco-friendly cleaning system on board across Cedar Court: “We chose Toucan Eco at the start of the pandemic, when we needed a new and improved cleaning system that was easy to use, accessible for our team members, and provided an enhanced cleaning result.

“Over the last twelve months our cleaning chemical costs have reduced by 75% and the initial investment has
already been returned.

More importantly though, I know my teams are using a safe and effective sustainable product in all areas of the business.
